The cruel Lady Alyosha,  the pragmatic Generosity, the lusty Smarla, and the bookish Knell: they are perhaps hopeless in finding suitors to improve their lowly house's standing, but the holidays are a magical time, and at the mystical Aurora Ball, anything is possible.
