Last week, the party met Janice's sister, Cersei, a fellow goth struck by the astral plague afflicting his hometown of Plutopolis. After catching up and through some light creeping, the party learned that Cerse knew more than she was letting on, a fact they confirmed when Janice caught her trying to climb out her window after being pressured into answering their pressing questions. Caught out, she shared her experience that, seeking to put an end to this plague herself, she set out to hunt the plague bringer that seemed to spread the infection from home to home. In her telling, she found the creature but was unable to strike before the plague befell her, throwing her, like others, into a mysterious coma. When she awoke, she found herself not a prisoner or victim of the plague bringer, but a patient of his. Trusting this creature, who she called Whisper, she joined in his mission, a shared mission with the party. Find the mysterious box of many things, thought to be a possible source of the infection. With nothing left to hide, she joined the party in investigating a warehouse in the infected district. In this warehouse, the party discovered a torn-up purchasing agreement, which suggested that the box the party sought was purchased from an antiquities dealer who purchased it themselves from the party's old enemy, Captain Byron. In addition, the box was set to be received by a representative P. Herc. These revelations the party barely had time to unpack before the warehouse was descended upon by plague beasts. Kiddies. After fighting back most of the creatures, Janus hopped on the back of the final beast and began beating it with the gemstone given to them by Ebenezer Bones to capture some living plague.

Janice wailed on the monster until finally it exploded into spores. Spores that didn't work into the gemstone, but instead into Janus himself, striking him with the plague and dropping him on the spot. Which is where we're gonna pick up now. Shane, would you leave the room?

You see the buildings, you see the tall towers of Pizza Point and the Citadel. You see the cobblestones under your feet made of the same starry material that permeates your neck.

This is beautiful. You know, this is no matter what state Plutopolis is in, this is what I see when I look at my city.

You see similar ghostly outlines that you saw in your vision of this warehouse. You see a ghostly outline of your sister standing in the doorway of this starry warehouse. You see ghostly outlines of your friends crowding around you, looking down at your body, freaking out. You see Lucy starts uh uh leaning in to try to suck the poison out of your mouth.

Um your body itself is glowing white hot to you. Not your body where you are. You are seeing your body from a distance.

You seem to be doing something of the sort. But that's not all you see. Flying in the sky above you where these clouds of plague dust fly. You see these massive beasts of pale white skin, huge bulbous heads with long thin white tendrils extending off their back as they fly through the sky, large teeth, gnarled eyes, growths on the skin that you couldn't imagine. But that is also not the only thing that you see.

You feel like a thrumming and you see a pedestal. A simple stone pedestal with a simple wooden box pulsing purple light into the air around it. A purple light that is going through the entire city.
