A soiree of suspicion. Last session, our party continued their lobbying at the plague time masquerade of the Hercadius family, Senna Hercadius and her wife Cadra.

Confrontations and friendships alike blossomed at the party. Rex and Janice went up against a suspicious General Trioctus, confronting him with what they know about the death of his son, as well as his possible involvement with the Box of Many Things. They also talked to Lieutenant Budlus, a Minotaur who supposedly was at the scene of the plague's onset, according to the profligate prior Hyrcadius' play. Lucy and Patch, on the other hand, leveraged a growing relationship with the party hosts to investigate Senna's office, where they found a sword supposedly belonging to Erowas, as well as documents linking Trioctus to the box of many things. Ever in the spirit of friendship, they also got to know just a pseudonym, otherwise known as the Fell Priest Weil in Disguise, who's working with Ebenezer Bones to try to solve the plague. Soon it came time for the vote on the Ariaki aid package, brought by one of the party's nemesides, Calidaeus, the false pantheonic priest and true worshipper of the scheming Europhon. As the party set out for Senna's office to protect the vote, a scared centaur approached Janice and asked him to come to the cellar. Rex and Janice went with the Centaur and were brought to an injured whisper, who told Janice that Circe was taken, taken by a Minotaur like Lieutenant Budlust. Meanwhile, in the office, Trioctus called the vote, and one by one, thanks to the party's hard work, every council member voted no. Before Trioctus could vote, however, and the issue could be firmly put to bed, Lucy and Patch noticed the absence of the plague guard outside the mansion. The guards and Trioctus' employ that were keeping the Astral Plague at bay were no longer there. As they noticed this, they suddenly heard a scream coming from the main room of the mansion. And we're going to cut back to Janice and Rex in the cellar. You guys hear a scream coming from upstairs.
